7/9/18 Pet of the Week

Dakota is a very sweet and humble 7-year-old Husky mix. He wandered for weeks with a heavy padlocked collar before trusting volunteers enough to be rescued. Once in our care we found the poor dog suffered with heart worm disease and was in desperate need of a dental. Dakota has received extensive medical care, he has been treated for heart worms and bad teeth have been removed. He is neutered, micro chipped, appropriately vaccinated and treated for parasites. This gentle soul gets along with people of all ages, other dogs and cats. He is house trained and grateful kindness shown to him. If you would like to meet our very deserving Dakota, please call 706-436-0965 or email [email protected].

The Hart County Humane Society is a volunteer rescue organization. We receive no funding from any government agencies or other groups. We are a 501C3 non-profit organization. Donations are desperately needed to fund our foster/rescue and spay/neuter programs. Donations can be mailed to P.O. BOX 1062 Hartwell Georgia 30643 or be made online through pay pal at harthumane.org.  Please help us help the animals in our community.
