Emmanuel College Rises in U.S. News & World Report Rankings

For the ninth consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report has named Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs a Tier One Top 50 Best Regional College in the South.

For 2021, Emmanuel rises six spots to 33rd place in regional rankings.

In a press release Tuesday, Emmanuel College President Dr. Ron White said Emmanuel continues to produce high-quality education.

“We have improved our educational delivery with high-tech advances and state-of-the-art classrooms. This year we introduced the Hyflex Model which enhances classroom delivery with greater online capacity. It’s a win/win for our students and faculty,” he said.

And this year they introduced the Hyflex Model which enhances classroom delivery with greater online capacity during the pandemic.

In an earlier interview with WLHR News, White said a win/win for students and faculty.

“We tried to create a plan that was very flexible,” White explained. “And we named our educational plan the Hyflex Model. The idea was to have our faculty create all courses as if they were going to be delivered fully online. So, if we have to close. If the Governor issues an order in the middle of the semester because things get worse, it’s not going to be a problem because we’re already set up for it and students can translate seamlessly to online.”

One dorm has also been set aside for students who test positive where they can live in quarantine and continue their studies online.

The College is also working with St. Mary’s Healthcare System to develop an on-campus clinic that St. Mary’s will staff two days a week.

Rankings by U.S. News & World Report are considered to provide the most in-depth and complete rankings in higher education.

They are based on evaluations of the top accredited four-year schools in the country and focus almost entirely on the undergraduate experience in a broad range of programs in the liberal arts fields.
