12/07/12 – “YoYo” – Beagle Mix at Northeast GA Animal Shelter

Little YoYo is a Beagle mix who sadly had to be given up to the shelter when his owner had to go into hospice care.

Shelter staff say YoYo is a great little dog who is used to being a house dog.  He loves people, especially children, is housebroken, plays with toys and walks great on a leash.  He’s about 12 inches high and weighs about 15lbs.

His adoption fee is just $55 and that covers his neuter and a rabies vaccine.

If you’re looking for a well-behaved dog and don’t want to h ave to go through the puppy housebreaking, chewing stage, then YoYo is the dog for you.

Please stop by the shelter and meet YoYo…he might just be the dog you’ve been looking for.

The Northest Georgia Animal Shelter in Lavonia is an open admission, non-profit Shelter, supported financially by private donations and funds from eight city and county jurisdictions.  We accept animals from Hart and Franklin Counties. We often take in sick and injured animals, feral cats and wild dogs.

The NEGAS handles approximately 3,500 animals per year. Adoption fees are used to reimburse local veterinarians who spay or neuter the adopted animals.  When an animal is adopted, the owner is given a certificate that can be redeemed at a participating veterinarian clinic for the required rabies vaccinations and spay/neuter procedures on their new pet.

For dogs and cats that need altering, $55 and $45 are charged, respectively, for adoption. Dogs that come into the shelter already altered are available for adoption for $40 and Cats for $30.

Take I-85 north to the Lavonia exit 173 at Hwy. 17, go right, travel approximately 1.5 miles through town, turn right at the Northeast Georgia Bank on to Bear Creek Road. The Shelter is approximately 1 mile on the right. The hours of operation are from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Tuesday through Saturday.
